Model history
This car was released 20 years after the original Ruf CTR in April 2007 at the Bahrain International Circuit, and 12 years after the CT2. Although it shares engine and body panels from Porsche it features a Ruf designed body built on a dedicated platform reflecting the classic visual feel of older Porsches. Alois Ruf adopted the Cayman's mid-engined layout rather than the engine in the tail configuration of the previous CTR s. Basically the car is the modern interpretation of the GT1 built in the late 90s which used the same building proceed. The engine is a 3.8 liter flat six with KK&k turbos giving 691bhp at 7,000rpm. Top speed is quoted at 375 kmh. The Clubsport package boosts power to 767bhp, linked to a 6 speed sequential gearbox.
