Restoration from a 1999 Porsche 996 GT3 Club Sport.
We performed a very large restoration from this amazing example of 911s limited edition.
Like most of the 996 GT3 MKIs this car had a pretty hard life on tracks in its early days and it was time to bring it back to its '99 Porsche showroom condition.
What a beautifully pure shape and fabulous driver.
Though 58 000 km and 100s of laps it now looks and drives like new.
Model history
Only 1838 GT3 MKI were built but only 500 received the highly desirable Club Sport package. Very few know they were assembled at the Weissach Porsche Motorsport factory, actually the only 911 road car with water engine to have been built there ( with exception made to the GT1 road car ). The further GT3 cars were not limited editions and built at Zuffenhausen factory.
The engine is based on the Mezger engine into GT1 form with titanium conrods and Variocam, whilst gearbox came from the 993 GT2.
