PORSCHE SPEEDSTER

The Porsche 356s are fabulous cars, reputed for their performance despite using small capacity engine due to their low weight and excellent chassis. They are the first steps of Porsche’s Legend and wrote some great pages in the Motorsport history, including many class wins.

The road 356s immediately met commercial success and in only 5 years the production reached 1000s of cars per year.

The Speedster version appeared in 1954 after a recommendation from Mr Hoffmann, the period US Porsche Importer who advised the company that a lower-cost open-top version could sell well in USA.

This very nice 1957 Speedster “A” 1600 chassis number 83265 was built in 1957.

A few years ago the car was entirely restored from the chassis with a lot of attention and no money spared. Only carefully and sparely driven by the previous owner during historic events in Switzerland since, the condition is wonderful.

Imported from Switzerland in 2009 it has all taxes paid and is ready to be registered in Europe.

This example is probably one of the nicest on the market.
