Jenson Button demolishes the Cork Screw with his Viper GTS-R

In our early days, back in 2007, when we started restoring and running Vipers GTS-Rs, little did we know that an F1 World Champion would join our team. Jenson Button has recently purchased chassis C25, a former Paul Belmondo car that we have been looking after since 2008. Not only did Jenson win the 2009 F1 World Championship, he was also highly praised for finishing second in 2011, beating his teammate Lewis Hamilton, and for winning the highly disputed Super GT in 2018. He is famous for his 'smooth style' and global understanding of grip.
C25 had a long racing history from 1999 to 2005, including two Le Mans participations, and was a front runner in the FIA GT. After being used in vintage racing from 2014 to 2025 by former Lotus F1 Team owner Gérard Lopez, it is now ready for a new chapter in the hands of Jenson Button. A funny fact about C25 is that three of its four owners were F1 drivers or team owners — some cars are definitely born under a lucky star!
Jenson's first race with the C25 was the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca. He qualified in an impressive 1:25 on a cold and windy day, and the dust didn't stop him from putting on a spectacular show. This was actually his first time driving the car — he's a true ace! He shared driving duties in the Friday Enduro with Maz Fawaz of Singer Vehicle Design, who performed faultlessly and was one of the fastest gentleman drivers on track.
Jenson had an amazing sprint race on Sunday. Starting in fifth place, he managed to finish second. This was his first podium finish overall and his first win in GT. It couldn't have been a better weekend, and what you can see on the onboard camera is just supernatural. We never thought a GTS-R could be driven that hard. There is no mystery as to what makes a World Champion — you can clearly see it in the video.
